30 Days of Roswell
13. A scene/moment that made you cry

ALEX: I better go. ISABEL: Why? ALEX: I’m not making things any better for you. ISABEL: No, please. Please don’t go. ALEX: I’m already gone. This is just a dream you’ll eventually wake up from. ISABEL: Will I see you again? ALEX: That depends on you. But I have a feeling, I wouldn’t want me to be here. Bye Isabel. ISABEL:  I love you Alex. ALEX: I think we both know I loved you too.

It’s always sad when one of the main characters dies and overall Alex’s death was probably the saddest part of the whole series. There were numerous scenes in both “Cry your name” and “It’s too late and it’s too bad” that I could have chosen for this challenge. I decided to go with Isabel’s point of view (episode 2x16). It’s heart-breaking that she has to lose him the moment she finally understands she loves him. These dreams or hallucinations Isabel has always make me cry. We can see how much Alex really means to him. This scene especially plays with the feelings of fans who have lost a loved one – how we wish we could talk to them one last time, tell them we love them. Katherine Heigl is incredible in this scene and really makes me feel Isabel’s pain. I think that Roswell is maybe at its best with Alex’s death because it really captures the heartbreak and the sorrow that it caused and represents beautifully different ways to grieve.
